President, CEO, and Secretary – Dr. Laura Keigan
Laura is a recent graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, where she earned a Ph.D. in nineteenth-century British literature. Her scholarly interests include Shakespeare appropriation and nineteenth-century periodical poetry, but she’s also pretty keen on historical fiction and sci-fi/fantasy. After spending nearly a decade in the Deep South, she’s happy to be back home in Knoxville with her husband and two daughters.
Beth Nelson
Beth is a seasoned educator at Fulton High School, where she’s taught for 12 years and has served on numerous committees and teams. She holds a master’s degree in English Education from UTK and frequently mentors interns and novice teachers. In 2013-2014, she was selected Health Science Teacher of the Year and one of Fulton’s Teachers of the Year, honors which speak to her professional expertise and passion for helping students.
Treasurer – Celia Hollon
Celia works as a public relations professional, currently focusing on grassroots community initiatives and non-profit development. While she consults with clients from LA to NY, she calls Downtown Knoxville home. She is a lifelong book lover, artist, slight nerd, and travel aficionado.
